just thought i 'd throw a data point back into the scrum. as i said, i copied 2500+ books from calibre to the new oasis and when i went to bed last night it was about halfway through. today i didn't have it connected to power and just now it finished indexing, but had drained the battery in about 4 hours. so, 2500+ in about 24hrs comes out to be about 100 per hour or 1.3? 1.4? per minute if i'm extrapolating all this correctly. that doesn't sound bad at all, actually. and it was very usable while indexing as well.
