Gannon (ISFDB), is another installment in the multi-author Stellar Guild series of sfnal novellas duet which pair a work from an established author with a sequel in the same setting by a newer one, this one an alternate timeline steampunk space adventure set in a 1900 where Cecil Rhodes (Wikipedia) the colonialist behind Rhodesia, which became the present-day nation of Zimbabwe) rules Mars in the name of the British empire, free for a limited time courtesy of publisher Phoenix Pick Press.
