got the new oasis today solely for the larger 32gb memory as i couldn't get all my books onto the previous oasis. i dumped 2500+ books from calibre onto it and then added a couple dozen more (large ones) from my amazon account.

it's been several hours and i've been using it pretty heavily and it's down to 22xx books to go so i've plugged it into a desktop computer usb and ejected the drive and am going to let it churn overnight.

some accounts say there's a dual-core cpu in the new oasis and i don't know about that but with a paperwhite model i had a few years back the indexing pretty well brought it to a halt until it was done. the previous oasis just slowed down about 30-60% but this new one is nearly completely usable while it's indexing and i'm not the patient type and would notice delays.
