My Oasis and Merlot cover just arrived. The Merlot is a beautiful color, just like the photos, but it is smooth unlike last year's Merlot cover and I'm sure it will scratch just like the Walnut. Something I'll just have to live with. The stand works well which is important to me. I think the Merlot cover will look cleaner over time compared to the Tan.
