Some people have been able to get the ads removed from Japanese kindles via amazon's chat support in other countries, but it looks like it's a struggle.

Thank you! I do have US account as well, so if you manage to remove them, I would be grateful for the information.
As for prime discount, I don't really think it's one time since I bought 3 PWs with it (1 for me, 2 for friends) at different times. But I still don't want to return my new Oasis, it is that good
