I remember my first audiobook, "Nerve" an early book by Dick Francis. I happened to see it as I was checking out at a book store and asked about it and bought it. I had a Walkman at the time so I listened to it. It was a single 60 minute tape. The book, which I read recently, is 322 pages long. You'd think I'd guess that it was abridged but that just never occurred to me. I think I listened to 3 or 4 of them before I realized I wasn't getting the whole thing.
