Convert Kindle file - keeping page numbers

Hi,

Can someone point me to instructions or give me some rough pointers on how to do the following?

I would like to convert a Kindle book (already without DRM) to another format while keeping the real page numbers. I know they are somehow saved in the apnx file. How can I keep the page numbers when converting the file?

I guess the easiest would be for me to have the page numbers somehow as markers in the text. That way I could work with the file in Word and either save as PDF after turning those markers into page breaks and -numbers or turn those markers into page markers for import into Logos Bible software.

I am quite familiar with calibre but should be able to work with other tools as well if needed.

Thanks!
