Okay, that worked (and 5.8.0 software downloaded). So I guess it's okay to try the jailbreak.

EDIT: Jailbreak took -- no issues downgrading the KT3 from 5.8.11 to 5.8.0. Hotfix installed, KUAL installed (I think -- didn't do anything with KUAL Helper?). Upgraded back to 5.8.11 and KUAL still works, so it looks like the jailbreak is still working. Now I'm just looking for font suggestions. I see a font package that looks like it's for 5.6.x (link fonts?), not sure how they would work with 5.8.x. Really I just want Constantia, if that's available for this device. (I've got a LOT to learn about what I can do with the jailbreak.) Thanks for the help. I'll keep looking. (Might post something in the regular Kindle forum.)
