@ChipAHoy: You don't have to either download it from this forum thread or unzip it once download.

You can install directly from Calibre by doing:

1) Right-click on "Preferences" icon
2) Choose "Get plugins to enhance Calibre"
3) Find "X-Ray Creator", click on "Install" button
4) Restart Calibre when offered to do so.
