Sometimes, in better light, I drop down a font size to 2. This matches up well with Constantia on my Kindle Touch (KT1?). Fonts that were too light were always my main gripe with the Kindles (starting with the Touch). The original Kindles (at least the Kindle Keyboard, and the Basic ones without a touch screen from 2011 and 2012) had darker fonts. I still like those fonts just fine and still read on my 2012 Black non-touch Kindle.

With the 5.8.11 update, I like this Basic Touch, 8th Generation (KT3?) much better. Now I don't have to worry about a font hack (though I still like Constantia better than Palatino, it's close enough now).
I agree with this... although even before this update I was relatively happy with the Voyage. This patch made it even better.
