That is a _very_ good point.
The only thing going for a jailbroken kindle in my case is that, using Linux, it would be very difficult if not impossible for me to remove DRM from epub books, which is what all other devices use. So my work flow would be buy kindle books, remove DRM, convert to epub then transfer to new device. A jailbroken kindle would offer what I'm missing (nested collections!) while simplifying book acquisition.
But I'm veering way off topic!
