Verizon allowed me to disable those apps but not get rid of them.

It's still a pretty good phone, even with the older OS; for everyday consumer use, I think it would be fine, but I suspect
I have the AT&T which is Unlocked & I use T-Mobile.... YES it suppose to update to 6.0.1
