For the last page, the text has to come from somewhere. The device doesn't randomly generate text and insert it into a page. To know why it was displayed there, we would need to see the code surrounding that text.
Actually, comparing that second screenshot to the later ones, it actually looks like the text is from the later screen shots. Are you getting a difference between paging forwards and backwards?
Overall, you are seeing the difference in how the different renders work. I like the calibre viewer, but it is not a good comparison point for most of the devices. For this, ADE will probably be a closer match to the Kobo epub renderer. You might find this works better if you send it to the device as a kepub. That uses a different renderer and might handle the different languages and fonts involved better. Beyond that, without seeing the code, and possibly the whole book, I don't know what to suggest.
Also, it is always a good idea to include the versions of the various things involved when reporting a problem. Knowing what version of calibre or the firmware the device is running, can affect the answer. In this case, I don't think it matters, but if you are running an old firmware version, it is probably worth trying a newer version.
