I just tried it with A Dance of Cloaks (Shadowdance Trilogy, Book 1) By David Dalglish. When I bought the book, it was self published. Shortly afterwards, the author signed with a publishing company, who required him to pull all of the previous books in the series, and then they re-published them.
The book downloaded fine to my Voyage...I'll keep checking to see if a charge appears on my card, and update this post if it does.

I have seen it happen when one accidentally clicks a totally different version and as the OP said it was another ASIN.
So it isn't double billing, it is buying another book.
Wait when did David get a publisher?
