Not parents, but Mia Kay's Soft Target is about a hero who is secretly guarding the heroine at her brother's request.

Stephanie James' (aka Jayne Ann Krentz) Body Guard (SD#103) featured a heroine who cheerfully ignored the bodyguard her mother hired for her. It's not been released yet in digital though (also she knows from the get go he's there, so not so secret).
