I suspect that either there is something wrong with the Kindle Previewer installation on your system or possibly anti-virus software is blocking part of it from executing. I suggest testing it by downloading
this version of Frankenstein in EPUB format, known to convert properly. Open it with the Kindle Previewer and verify that conversion is successful and that the Inspector window shows "Enhanced Typesetting" with a green check-mark afterwards. If it fails then try un-installing and then reinstalling the Previewer or disabling your anti-virus.
In the mean time I plan to release another version of the plugin tomorrow that will be able to capture and report more information when this type of error occurs. You can try that if the above suggestion doesn't help.
