There are some banks and credit card companies that are offering their customers an (un-publicized *), free, daily, monitoring service.
Sign onto your account page at each of the financial institutions you deal with and check for that possibility.

Let their computer system help you watch on a daily basis rather than just once a month. An extra set of "electronic eyes" can't hurt.

(*) My guess is because they don't want to upset the companies that charge for such a service.
