Where is the Library? Calibre expects (requires) the DB (and the rest) be on a LOCAL hard drive (not a share or NAS) . Read the FAQ. There are tricks to keep the DB local and remote the books, but that should wait until the dust settles.
Some folk get away with daily use, but creating a Library is intensive. Start on a Local HD
