There are quite a few sites out there that also package old, public-domain instructional books (I'm thinking specifically of a cartoon drawing course that seems to be resold on a number of sites). I won't post a link, because it's a disgusting practice to flog e-books that are in the public domain and I don't want to give them any more advertising than they already might have.

So far I've been enjoying the Guttenberg texts, espeically the Max Brand novels, which I'm now reformating in epub for when I get a reader (still haven't made up my mind). Not yet paid for any books, but I'll probably lean toward direct author payment or contributions.
