Yes, here's what you do:

In Marvin, click the settings icon in the upper left. Select "General Settings" and scroll down to "app badge" and select "% in book".

On your device (iPad, iPhone) select Settings > Notifications. Scroll down to Marvin and "Allow Notifications" and turn on "Badge Icon".
