I traded-in a Paperwhite in June of this year, and they placed the trade-in value as a credit in my Amazon account. This can be used for any Amazon purchase, so you could wait until the new Oasis arrives and then trade-in the Voyage.

The gotcha is that you will receive the $20 credit towards the purchase of a Kindle but it will apply to your NEXT purchase of a Kindle, which would not be the Oasis. I seem to recall speaking with Amazon customer service about this, and they offered some sort of accommodation, although I can't recall what that was (I was considering the purchase of a Voyage or Oasis at the time).

Anyways, you may want to call Amazon customer service and see what they will do. I certainly wouldn't go without a Kindle for a month or more.
