Neither has given me the message. So I wonder if its not the covers, but the connectors on the actual device that cause that issue.

Re the cover connection: I had problems when I applied a skin to my Oasis. It was just thick enough to make the connections go flakey and not always connect. Or even, not connect much of the time. (I wanted a skin to make it less slippery.)
