Thanks for your help Blas and Oren64, while I just ran into another problem it seems to be working again. The manual factory reset worked but when I setup the reader it immediately looked for the newest firmware, downloaded it and tried to install it. During the install there was a critical error and the device wanted me to do another factory reset. I tried it again and the second time it did go through without a problem.

Now busy with setting it up the right way and reloading all of my books.

Still wondering about that critical error though.
