Right, and it’s pretty easy to fire up hotspot on the phone and connect through that should the need arise.
I was late to the Voyage (got it for $150 on a one day sale last year, almost exactly a year ago), but found it dramatically better than the Paperwhite I’d bought a few months earlier, and is just really the nicest Kindle I’ve had. I was never that interested in the Oasis because of the weird charging cover (and no 3rd party options) and lack of auto brightness.
But I think I’ll be getting Oasis 2 because of the larger screen and more ergonomic design (including ‘real’ page turn buttons). Probably get some sort of sleeve for it until some third party covers come out that I like.
