You need to give some more details. Where are you seeing this happening? What did you do to get to that point? From what you have said, I have no idea whether you are talking about the main calibre window or a dialog, the viewer or you have done a conversion and are reading the book on some device.

You can set the default conversion options via the preferences. That does include options to set the margins.
