Interestingly, the two most non-observed Holidays in the USA are:
Columbus Day (today - so your boss isn't the only one deserving )
and
Veteran's Day (November 11 - observed this year on November 10)

Ironically, with politically influenced Holiday calendars and all, the "Day that will live in infamy" has never made the cut to become even a note on the Federal Calendar.
