Bah. Sometimes I wonder what's wrong with people around me, especially some family members. We all get up at around the same time (6:30-7:00), all go to bed around the same time (23:00-0:00), all have a day job, and a household to run. Most are in the 30-50 y/o age category. The exception are my parents (>60 and >70, retired) and three children (6-12 y/o.)
When I'm around other family members, it's astounding to see they're all tired, always. It was really apparent last weekend, when on an outing with a bunch of them. It's unbelievable to notice that I'm the only one able to stay awake properly past 15:00 or so, except for one aunt who can do that as well. People start yawning and complaining about 'feeling tired' at around that time, and at around 19:00, most are going like "Whaaaaaah", "Oeewweeeeaaaaa", "Weeeeeeee", yawning/screaming at a 100 dB and stretching their arms skyward as if deathly tired. At around 22:00, some actually start to fall asleep. I know that, if given a chance, some of them are actually in bed at 22:00, even when having to get up at around 7:00 or later.
Do most of them REALLY need 9 hours of sleep? Is there ANY reason to start 'feeling tired' after being awake for only 8-ish hours or so, and start yawning, sounding like f^$%^$%^vacuum cleaners? Sorry to say, it's *seriously* angryfying (if that's really a word) to be surrounded by perpetually tired people half of the time.
Am I the exception, getting up at around 7:00, and going to bed at around 0:00, feeling only slightly tired at that time, not having yawned my way through the day since 15:00?
Jeesh. Get a new bed or something...
