I'm actually not displeased that they haven't released the Max Carta 2, or whatever its name will be, yet. I'm hoping that the delay means that they are trying to get it right. But, of course, any delay means that they are competing against increasing standards.

Sony has upped the ante in regard to handling PDF files. Remarkable has shown what is possible in terms of note taking and drawing. The Max and Netronix have hinted at what COULD be possible with an Android device... But nobody, unfortunately, as of yet has combined the best of all possible universes.

Here's hoping that the upcoming Onyx device, whenever it should arrive, gets it right. Until then, my Max is serving me well enough. It will take some vast improvement, though, to get me to part with any more of my money. A lackluster device just won't cut it.
