In a similar vein to Robert Aickman, Thomas Ligotti and Shirley Jackson, Jon Padgett's The Secret to Ventriloquism is $2.99 at Amazon. I haven't read the book yet and don't know if $2.99 is standard or a sale. But the stories sounds promising and the reviews are good.
