If you had sideloaded it (by which I mean "copied it to your Kindle via the USB connection"), then plainly it wouldn't and couldn't have appeared. The fact that it appeared when you registered the Kindle must mean that:
1. It's in your Cloud library.
2. It was sent from the Cloud library to your Kindle (you can do this as soon as the Kindle is ordered).
