I updated my iPad mini 2 to iOS 11. It does seem to be a bit slower and stutters sometimes. However, I do like the new interface for the iPad and it’s still quite usable. I did delete a few 32 bit apps that will no longer work.
That being said, I haven’t updated my iPhone yet. I’ve heard about there being battery issues. And I really hate the new podcast app in iOS 11. I listen to a lot of podcasts.
