NEVER use the OS to modify the Library. Bad thing happen to the integrity of the database.

Unknown is the Author? Simply search (or use the Tag Browser) for authors:unknown and formats:mbp
Select all: rightclick:delete :selected Formats:mbp from the list

Now we will cleanup those that are now 'empty books'
search authors:unknown and formats:false
those have no other formats and can be deleted (using Calibre )
