To be sure, those Kobo thing do last a long time before running out of puff but I circumnavigated the problem by buying a portable power pack (12 Amp) for my smatphone. My phone costed 69 Au$ and the power pack 12 Euro! Epub reader on the phone is very confy to use with black fonts on soft parchmen background (from the settings). Have a good afernoon.

I just can't read books on a tablet/phone screen. It just doesn't work for my eyes/brain. Its painful. Good for those that can, I can't. I need to have an ereader that uses e-ink. Or whatever the equivalent for it might be in the future, if any.
It also does one thing and one thing very well. Letting me read a book.
Battery life is much better, its easier to hold and my kindle at least has buttons for page changing which is more comfortable for me than swiping.
It doesn't matter how one reads, as long as one does. But I have to be able to read. Paperback fonts are too small now for me, often yellowish in older books so I need to have an ereader. Or I wouldn't be able to read my beloved books.
So whatever works for you.
