Audiobook Library

I hope I've chosen the correct subforum for a suggestion. I would like to use Calibre to create a separate audiobook library. But the metadata from my mp3 or compressed files doesn't transfer to Calibre, and if I download the metadata for the corresponding ebook, I have to redo most of it to reflect the different cover, publisher, and pub date, and to add the narrator. This would be quite time consuming.

So I am wondering if Calibre could be adapted somehow to download metadata and covers from Audible, which would make it a fantastic tool for the audiophiles among us. Is this possible?
