If you can get $440 CAD for a 505 in Germany than I suggest that you stock up on them while you're in Canada. You can still grab them for $279 in some computer shops (though they are rising to $349 quickly.)

As for the 700 you're SOL. They were still $379 a couple weeks ago but now every single store has them for $439-499. Prices are finally catching up to the value of our dollar. About 8 months ago it was worth 1.05 USD but today it's down to 0.79 USD.
