Sorry, but watermarks are a form of DRM. Anything that tries to stop me from sharing/pirating is DRM. So whoever wrote that Wiki is wrong.
As for sharing, I do share with some family. I know they don't keep the books and they don't share them. It's no different (IMHO) from my sharing a pBook with them.
