Thanks Kovid, it's the antivirus - McAfee Endpoint Security 10.5, corporate version
It stops calibre.exe with following error:
NTDOMAIN\Fiaccadorip run CALIBRE.EXE, which tried to access C:\PROGRAM FILES\CALIBRE2\APP\PYLIB.ZIP, in violation of the rule "reading of a file usually targeted by malaware of ransomware class", and it was blocked.
