Indeed, "Purge .sdr" should be no different than just deleting the .sdr folders manually. (Except that, however unlikely, you might delete files in the .sdr folder that KOReader would not — these probably wouldn't have been generated by KOReader.)

Is there? I think the general consensus is to use SQLite as little as possible.
