originally, the DPT-S1 was open to purchase only for people in the medical/educational/law fields. eventually, they opened it up to all (but that's not the point). now with the DPT-RP1, they made getting documents into/out of the device more difficult than just drag/drop when drag/drop is nearly universal.

i have no idea what the motivation is behind these bizarre restrictions.
