She didn't, but everyone huddled together in a different family member's home. Can't say as I blame them, as there have been fatalities in the past among people attempting to evacuate. I don't know if that happened this time, but I do know that many of those attempting to evade Irma via evacuation instead ran straight into her arms when she decided to change course at the last minute.
