I am on maintenance plus trying to lose additional few kilos. A few years ago I have discovered Paleo diet and managed to lose some 17+kg. Before starting the diet (the only one I EVER tried) my BMI was in the obese range, today it is at the upper limit of the normal range.
With Paleo you can have substantial dinner, with lots of fats, proteins and vegetables, so you are not tempted to snack afterwards.
Each of us is different and the Paleo diet (I know, stupid name) suits me very well. I do not need to count calories, I do not need to be hungry, I do not need to eat food that I dislike just because it fits a diet. After being on Paleo diet for about 4 + years my eating habits and tastes have changed and it is even easier now to stick to healthy eating.
