Cat 1 hurricane when we lived in Wilmington, NC. That was enough for me Monkey. The rain literally comes in like a whip. It's sideways and it slaps the building making the most horrible sound. The air is so hot and humid it's like being in a hot sauna. The wind howls so loud. They cut the power and let us know it would happen. The apartment I was in literally rocked like a boat.
This was only a Category 1 Hurricane.
It's more scary than any tornado I've gone through and I've dealt with many of them.
