I guess I should withdraw the $100 thing, as for $120 already you can get a light and a 300ppi screen, and I will say that from what I have seen those 300ppi's are gorgeous.

It may be that I have low standards, but while I could see a difference between my Nook ST with its 167 PPI and the Kindle Paperwhite 3 with its 300 PPI, it wasn't enough of a difference to wow me.
When I upgraded from a tablet with an average resolution to a higher resolution one, the difference was noticeable. But I guess since an e-ink screen only displays static text, the screen isn't as big of a deal.
Now a lighted screen, that's a whole different story. Do get one. The original 6" Aura is available on eBay for fifty bucks US (or forty pounds UK) and it is worth the upgrade from an unlighted reader.
