Okay, here we go.
Kobo for Android stores it's files in Android > Data > com.kobobooks.android >files > audiobooks
The files for the book are in a folder with some random looking numbers and letters that probably mean something to Kobo, and I'd assume if there are multiple books each will be in a separate folder.
Inside the folder I have files 0 - 13 with no extension. When I copied those files to my PC and added an MP3 extension they play just fine (I used VLC media player).
