I have no doubt. I'm only saying a don't have complete faith that something unforseen might not happen, and I wouldn't discover it until in the midst of my read ... away from my computer ... where the tools to fix it all live.

I never said it was a rational fear.

Rationally ... it just makes very little sense to me to convert books when I can easily buy them already in the format I want to read them in (or don't mind reading the occasional book with a different app whenever I--rarely--buy a book in my second-favorite format). Conversion changes things. Regardless if I'm aware of those changes or not.
