As to meatloaf, I usually make 2 smaller ones. Eat one and freeze the other.
My freezer meals were so nice when the temperature was over 100 and all I had to do was pop food in the microwave or crockpot or the little oven.

Well, the other thing that I do is backpack and dried veggies work a whole lot better for that.
