The size of the disk space required to store the books should never be an issue with using an ebook reader.

If the ebooks are the size of volume 4 of Alford's Critical Commentary, you are looking at five books. OTOH, if they are the size of the Project Gutenberg collection I have, you're looking at around 1,000,000 items.
