Yes, they are using a different DRM. You need to unistall the ADE you have and install ADE 2.0.1. Any version of ADE after 2.0.1 can have ePub downloaded with a new DRM. The new DRM cannot be removed.

I have no idea if a Kobo can handle this new DRM.
