Hi folks,
Have a Kobo Touch, updated to the latest firmware on 5/16/17 ( 4.4.9344 (6f70079280). Everything working fine except two things: Sketchpad and Sudoku, both betas, which now have weird display issues.
Sudoku: Game comes up normally, but as soon as you touch any game button on the screen, a grey zone blots out the last 2 rows of cells and part of the screen down to the number-choice buttons. See attached jpg. The only way to play the game in that last row of 3x3 cells is to remember what's there, plunk a finger on a cell to set it, then NEW GAME, CONTINUE PLAYING, which repaints the screen. Repeat.
SKETCHPAD: brings up a half-cleared screen (faded icons of the book covers from home page), but lets you draw. Hit SAVE, the background goes blank. Hit Exit, and it plops a black square onto the lower left hand corner of the book thumbnails on the Home page. Tapping or holding on it takes you to LIBRARY, where the Sketchpad entry is first (in Recent order), shows as a solid black block with a bit of pale in it. Opening it opens the drawing, but... no buttons to exit it with.
We have a second Touch, firmware not updated since 2/11/2014 (3.2.0), and like its sister, both have been dropped a few times. But... the un-updated one works just fine.
No other display anomalies in the new firmware Touch.
I've popped the back open on the one with the display problems, popped the display interface and battery cables off and reseated them, checked for anything obvious, but... there we are.
Any ideas (short of "buy something new") would be welcome!
Thanks,
Mike
