I'm thinking maybe this has become a feature request? I have 4,500 books with excess tags, so I was going to process 100 at a time to clean them up.

What I have found is that the left will hold 3 tags (or none uo to 3, which is my limit) while the right will hold the original 4-10 tags.

I made a boo boo, the tags ARE being updated, but are being ADDED to the existing tags, not OVERWRITING them as I expected/intended.

If i do this individually, I look at the tags to see if I can just remove some, if it's too bad then I delete all the tags, THEN download metadata and see what I get.

I wanted to do this process in bulk, but seem unable to? I did try selecting 20 books first in bulk edit and removing all tags BEFORE doing the bulk metadata download, but if a book fails to download any tags it becomes very easy to forget what was there in the first place.

The ideal solution to this would be to add the ability to remove the ORIGINAL tags on the right hand side of the bulk editor, but I seem unable to do that? All I can do is click the arrow and return the left side to the way it was?

I hope some of that made sense.
